5 Steps to Take Back Your Life in 90-Days
Is Work Controlling Your Life?
Amidst the relentless demands of work and life responsibilities, many of us are trapped in a cycle, unsure how to break free.
Common signs of feeling trapped by your job include dragging yourself to work, struggling to focus once you’re there, feeling constantly drained, dissatisfaction with achievements, and disruptions in sleep patterns. These symptoms can often manifest physically, leading to digestive issues, headaches, and reliance on substances like food, drugs, or alcohol to cope.
I assist clients in envisioning a healthier, more vibrant version of themselves, detached from the constraints of work, and exploring how this transformation can positively impact their lives.
Establishing Healthy Routines
Career-driven professionals sometimes find themselves at a loss for how to improve their physical and mental well-being. When traditional methods fail to yield results, it’s a sign that we need a more significant change.
Our behaviors are primarily habitual, making lasting change a challenge. By establishing healthy routines, we can increase energy levels, reduce stress, enhance presence, and cultivate self-awareness and self-compassion.
I work with clients to identify the underlying factors keeping them tethered to their careers and pinpoint routines and triggers contributing to unhealthy habits. Together, we determine which activities and foods energize them the most and provide practical tools for managing time, planning meals, and fostering connections to adopt new routines effortlessly.
Prioritize Yourself
Practicing self-kindness allows for exploration, growth, and resilience without guilt or shame. Amidst the chaos of work and life, self-rejuvenation often takes a backseat.
Prioritizing oneself reduces stress, increased energy, enhanced clarity, and greater self-compassion. I help clients break free from negative patterns by encouraging them to prioritize their needs and desires without guilt.
Set Healthy Boundaries
Celebrating accomplishments fosters a sense of success and empowers us to align our choices with our goals. I am dedicated to providing clients the support and accountability they need to honor their newfound healthy routines, prioritize self-care, and effectively set boundaries.
By asking thought-provoking questions and challenging existing beliefs, I assist clients in breaking old habits and setting boundaries that support their well-being.
Achieve Healthy Work/Life Balance
Integrating new habits seamlessly into everyday life can create a harmonious balance between work and personal life. I guide clients in automating their routines to make them effortless and ingrained, empowering them to reclaim control over their lives.
5 Different Types of Wellness
- Physical – exercise, the things you consume, and how much sleep you’re getting
- Emotional – mental wellness (therapy and/or meditation), stress management, and how you handle negative feelings when they arise.
- Spiritual – religious practice or what connects you to your innermost self – nature walks, meditation, journaling, listening to music, etc.
- Social – maintaining healthy relationships, setting boundaries, and cultivating interests outside of your daily responsibilities.
- Intellectual – any activity that helps nurture and develop your brain – reading a book, learning and instrument, taking a class, etc.
What is the difference between Health and Wellness?
Physical health is a state in which your body is running as optimally as it can (whatever that means for you).
Wellness is the act of balancing all the different areas of your health: physical, mental, emotional, etc.
Health is the end goal, and wellness is the tool you use to get there.
